Iran director snatches award in the US

Iran director Javad Daraei has snatched two awards at the 2nd BNM Web Fest in the US.

Iran director Javad Daraei has snatched two awards at the 2nd edition of BNM Web Fest in the US.

Javad Daraei participated in the event with two short films ‘I Don't Like Here’ and ‘Limit’ which both granted him Best International Short Film Award.   

The 20-min ‘I Don't Like Here’ depicts Eli, a young girl, who has been involved in a personality dualism and regardless of her constant disagreements with her father, she still seeks her true nature.

The flick is an award winner at 9th Calcutta Int’l Cult Film Festival, CICFF 2017 in India.

So far, it has also won the ‘Best Film’ award from 9 international film festivals of Bleedingham, Moondance, Saint Cloud, Wine County, Hollywood, Tryon, Southampton and Wellington.

 The 8-min ‘Limit’ is a creative depiction of the struggles disabled people face on a daily basis.

‘Limit’ has been screened in many countries around the world bagging three awards from three international festivals, namely the 7th St Cloud Film Fest and the 2nd Miami FearFest in the US, and the best foreign short film prize at the international Hollywood Hills Awards.

The award for best foreign short film at the 3rd Tryon International Film Festival and the award for best picture at the 6th Bleedingham short horror film festival in the US, as well as the award for Best Fiction at the 10th Southampton Film Week 2017 in the UK are also among the honors achieved by ‘Limit’.

The BNM Web Fest was launched on November 1- 4, 2018.
